This article analyzes the materiality of the anonymous manuscript Vida de san Ignacio de Loyola. Its contribution lies in offering an approach to the representation needs that arise when offering the play on a religious festival with actors who are students. It shows that the emphatic nuance of the added annota-tions is due to the resolution of the requirements of representation not contemplat-ed in the antigraph
