Discourse and poetics in the songs of the Movida: an approach from the cultural rhetoric.
This article analyzes the songs of the Movida from the perspective of Cultural Rhetoric. It proposes a transdisciplinary methodology that integrates linguistic, musical, visual and pragmatic aspects to understand musical communication as a persuasive and aesthetic act. Rhetorical resources are analyzed, with special attention to figurative language. It shows how identity is configured in the enunciation of the music of the Movida and that of its audience through polyacroasis. It also studies, on the one hand, the interdiscursivity in the relationship between this music and cinema or advertising and, on the other hand, the interdiscursivity found in translations and parodic uses.
