Variantes electrofisiológicas de Guillain Baré por medio de neuroconducción y respuesta tardía
Objective: To determine the electrophysiological changes in GBS variants by means of neuroconduction and late response. Material and method: Observational, cross-sectional, non-comparative study, carried out in 39 patients diagnosed with GBS. Alterations in motor and sensory neuroconduction and late response were identified by the descriptive and observational method of the demyelinating and axonal variants. Qualitative variables are presented as medians and percentages; while quantitative data are presented as averages and standard deviations. Results: The average values obtained in the electrodiagnostic study in patients with demyelinating variant GBS (43.6%) show prolonged distal motor latency above 130%, normal amplitude and decreased motor conduction velocity, while the axonal variant (56.4%) was characterized by prolonged distal motor latency or peak less than 130% and decreased amplitude. The late response parameters are prolonged or absent in the GBS variables. The following electrophysiological variants were identified: PDIA 43.6%, NAMA 47.0%, NASMA 64.7% and NSA 17.6%. Conclusion: GBS causes statistically significant changes in neuroconductions and late response according to the demyelinating or axonal pathophysiological component.
