Trabalho e aceleração

The increasing social acceleration, driven by technological advances and rapid social changes, has generated an incessant search for time optimization in the workplace, as evidenced by the adoption of generative artificial intelligence tools. This study investigates the impacts of social acceleration, from the theoretical perspective of Hartmut Rosa, on the work of knowledge workers, focusing on the possible implications of the use of generative AI on their work rhythms and their relationship with time. The research adopts a theoretical and exploratory approach, analyzing the concept of social acceleration in its technological, social change and pace of life dimensions, and connecting it with discussions on resonance, alienation and engagement at work. The study points to a paradox where technology, designed to free up time, can intensify time pressure and contribute to feelings of disconnection and disengagement. It is concluded that the acceleratory dynamics of contemporary society, exacerbated by the introduction of generative AI, redefine the experience of work, raising crucial questions about well-being and the meaning of professional activities in a scenario of constant urgency and transformation.
