Turismo Cultural desde el Análisis del Enfoque Regenerativo

Regenerative tourism emerges as an opportunity to modify the traditional dynamics of tourism, shifting from a perspective focused exclusively on resource exploitation and economic advantages, to one that seeks the restoration and revitalization of places of interest. However, the absence of a coherent conceptual framework hinders effective communication and the implementation of consistent practices in this field. The objective of the research is to analyze the contributions in the scientific and academic field regarding cultural tourism, considering a regenerative approach. The methodology used was descriptive through the analysis of databases such as Scopus, Elsevier, Scielo, among others, from which 102 articles were obtained under the criterion of TITLE-ABS-KEY ("Cultural Tourism") OR TITLE-ABS-KEY ("Regenerative Tourism"). OR TITLE-ABSKEY ("Cultural Tourism") O TITLE-ABSKEY (“sustainable tourism”) > 2017 AND PUBYEAR < 2024. The main results expressed by authors who focus most on this type of research are: Bellato and Cheer; Cave and Dredge; Duxbury N. et al. The main conclusion determined in the present research is the consideration of a regenerative perspective in tourism activities as something more than a mere "everyday business," and creative tourism can be seen as a regenerative factor when it promotes tourism as an instrument for local well-being, revitalization, and sustainability.
