Undersökning av muskelsynergier i fingerrörelser med ytemgför motorisk koordination och anpassning
Muscle synergy, the coordinated activation of multiple muscles to executecomplex movements, is a foundational concept in motor control andrehabilitation. However, how the neuromuscular system manages fine, independent finger forces, and how EMG recording methods affect thedetection of these synergies, remains poorly understood. This studyinvestigates changes in hand muscle synergies during isolated finger flexiontasks, explores the mechanisms of muscle coordination, and examines howEMG type (surface vs. bipolar) and channel configuration influence synergydetection. Twelve healthy participants performed simple finger movementswhile HD-sEMG recorded muscle activity and finger force was simultaneouslycaptured using the Dextrain device. EMG data were analyzed usingNon-negative Matrix Factorization (NMF) and Principal Component Analysis(PCA) to extract the number of synergies associated with each movement. Results showed that most finger movements were represented by 2–4synergies with NMF, and slightly more with PCA. Middle and ring fingersexhibited greater synergy complexity, especially with bipolar configurations, suggesting more intricate neuromuscular control. NMF provided moreconsistent and interpretable results than PCA. These findings highlight thecritical role of EMG configuration in synergy analysis and offer valuableinsights for advancing motor control research and rehabilitation practices.
