Technology Acceptance of Trackman Range as Dual Information System : A quantitative study of factors influencing the use of technology in golf

The digitalization of golf has increased the need to understand which factors influence user acceptance of technology. This study aims to investigate the factors that affect the intention to use Trackman Range, a technology implemented at driving ranges to enhance and gamify the golf practice experience. The research is based on a quantitative survey conducted with 136 respondents, who evaluated various statements related to their perceptions of Trackman Range. The collected data were analyzed using statistical methods to identify the variables most strongly associated with the intention to use the technology. The results indicate that the usefullness of the system, the entertainment gained from using the system, and habitual behavior all have a significant positive impact on behavioral intention. This study contributes to the field of technology acceptance in sports by demonstrating how both utilitarian and hedonic factors shape the intention to use digital systems. Furthermore, the study has identified differences in user groups, where the most skilled users and middle-aged respondents showed the greatest variation in usage intention.
