Suministro de agua potable y su vinculo con los riesgos para la salud 2024

The main benefit of this research is to identify the consequences of inadequate operation and maintenance for a drinking water supply system, as well as its relationship to water quality and the health of the population in the town of Curhuaz. The methodology is applied and descriptive. After analyzing the water under study, turbidity values of 8,410 units were obtained, and the chemical analysis yielded the following average results: Aluminum (0.6 ppm; Cadmium (0.079 ppm); Mercury (0.024); Molybdenum (0.15 ppm); Nickel (0.127 ppm); Lead (0.01 ppm) and with respect to the biological analysis, average results of total coliforms (33 UFC / 100ml), CFE (11 CFU / 100ml); Escherichia Coli (2 CFU / 100ml) were found; these values being in excess of the maximum permissible values, the presence of these being due to the improper use of insecticides and grazing near the hydraulic structures of good water supply; based on the analysis carried out we can conclude that the supply system is in poor condition, both hydraulically and in water quality.
