Resiliensanalys för skyfall- och dagvattenhantering : En fallstudie för detaljplaneområdet Spelhagen i Nyköping

Nyköpings municipality have designed an detailed development plan within an land area owned by a private actor. The planning process is within the phase “granskning” and various investigations have been conducted, for example for topics such as stormwater, skyfall and environmental impact assessment. The thesis have been conducted to give new perspectives on the question how to plan and build with the stormwater and skyfall in mind. The focus of the study has been to perform a resilience analysis in order to complete the conducted investigations. In addition, the thesis have investigated whether or not the framework, which the resilience analysis have been based on, is suitable for answer questions regarding stormwater and skyfall. The methods used is site visit, semi-structured interviews and resilience assessment. The framework to analyse the resilience is based on the hand book ”Assessing Resilience in Social-Ecological Systems: Workbook for Practitioners” published of Resilience Alliance (2010). The interviews which have been embedded into the resilience analysis. When questions from the analysis have been answered, the model applied, thresholds identified, actors assessed and new strategies designed and resulted in new aspects on the land queries. In theory the results from the analysis means a new case study have been studied in dept and the resilience concept get further spread. In practice the result means that the planers on Nyköpings municipality have received a new perspective on land and water questions. The main benefit it yields more in dept understanding of how resilience assessments can be used in urban planning. What remains in the planned development area is the physical design of solutions for handling the stormwater and skyfall. Furthermore the study illustrates the need for an updated resilience assessment framework to better fit urban planners which investigates the connection between environment and society.
