Réacteurs membranaires pour la synthèse de méthanol : de l'échelle matériaux jusqu'à la simulation de procédés
Catalytic hydrogenation of CO2 to methanol, using hydrogen derived from low-carbon energy sources, offers a sustainable alternative to fossil hydrocarbons. However, in traditional fixed-bed reactors, large quantities of water are produced, limiting yields. To address this, catalytic reactors incorporating membranes that can selectively separate water have demonstrated their effectiveness. To compare membrane reactors with conventional reactors for methanol synthesis, an approach combining membrane material development, catalyst design, and process simulations is proposed. By testing advanced membrane materials and suitable catalysts, this study aims to generate key data to evaluate the viability of membrane reactors and identify areas for improvement in their design.
