Parámetros de calidad del semen bovino utilizando diferentes medios de criopreservación
In the present study 7 bulls from the province of Morona Santiago were selected, from which semen was extracted using artificial vaginas to evaluate it fresh, using frequencies. After evaluating the fresh semen, it was frozen using the commercial Two Step, Triladyl, Andromed and Optixcell media, which were the treatments. A trinocular microscope with phase contrast, a thermal stage and a water bath were used for the observation of reproductive cells and eosin-negrosin staining was used for morphology. Progressive individual viability and motility both at 0 and 2 hours, as well as the existing morphologies were the experimental variables. The analysis of variance and comparison of means was carried out with the InfoStat program. The results obtained determined that the viability was between 3.43 and 3.71; the percentage of progressive individual motility was from 59 to 80 and the percentage of normal spermatozoa was from 91 to 99, values considered normal. The analysis of variance and the Tukey statistical test estimated that there are no significant differences when using any of the cryopreservation media in the variables studied. Therefore, it is concluded that when comparing the four cryopreservation media, it can be seen that in Viability, Progressive Individual Motility and Morphology, any medium can be used, since no significant differences were found; the samples did not undergo drastic changes when going from fresh to frozen, therefore the selection of the commercial medium will be based only on the availability of the laboratories.
