Neurociencia afectiva y tecnología educativa: el impacto de las emociones en el aprendizaje y el desarrollo socioemocional
This article explores the intersection between affective neuroscience and educational technologies, analyzing the influence of emotions on students' learning processes and socio-emotional development. Affective neuroscience has shown that emotions influence attention, memory, and decision-making, suggesting that their proper regulation can enhance the educational experience. Key brain structures such as the amygdala, hippocampus, and prefrontal cortex, responsible for emotional modulation and memory consolidation, are examined. In addition, technological advances such as adaptive learning, artificial intelligence, and virtual reality, which facilitate the creation of personalized and emotionally intelligent learning environments, are reviewed. A literature review of recent studies shows that integrating strategies based on affective neuroscience and educational technologies can improve motivation, resilience, and knowledge retention. However, implementing these strategies presents challenges such as the digital divide and the need to train teachers in neuroeducation. The conclusion is that designing educational environments that take into account students' emotional dimensions promotes more meaningful and equitable learning, highlighting the importance of an interdisciplinary approach for its effective application in higher education. Finally, future research avenues are proposed to assess the long-term impact of these innovations on students' academic performance and socio-emotional well-being.
