Murâbıtlar Döneminde Yusuf bin Taşfin’ın Fas'ı Birleştirme Çabaları (1059-1084 M)
This study examines the military and administrative efforts undertaken by Yusuf b. Tashfin in laying the foundations of the Almoravid State and unifying the Maghreb al-Aqsa during the V AH / XI AD century. The research highlights the political and social instability that prevailed in the region prior to the emergence of the Almoravid movement, including tribal divisions and the atmosphere of chaos particularly evident in Fez and its surroundings. It further analyzes how Yusuf b. Tashfin expanded his influence through organized military campaigns targeting key cities such as Fez, Tangier, and Ceuta, thereby contributing to the establishment of a centralized authority. The study also addresses the political transformations accompanying the establishment of the state, notably the decline of traditional Arab influence and the rise of Berber elements within the Islamic West. Relying on historical analysis, the research investigates the intertwining of the religious reform project with the construction of political authority. Within this framework, the study aims to highlight the internal and external factors that contributed to the success of Almoravid unification and to explore the profound impact this success had on shaping the Islamic and political identity of the Islamic West during this pivotal period.
