Matemática realista en estudiantes de educación secundaria

The study is developed in the pedagogical field of education, with the objective of analyzing the teaching of mathematics from the didactic perspective of realistic mathematical education, based on the philosophy of Hans Freudenthal. The investigation is of the type basic nature and descriptive level, uses a descriptive transectional design. The sample was made up of basic secondary education students, selected through the systematic observation technique. Instruments such as documentary analysis and questionnaire were used to collect data. The results showed extensive knowledge about the didactic current of realistic mathematics education. Furthermore, the research highlighted, among other conclusions, the importance of implementing improvements in the learning achievement of secondary school students, proposing to rethink the teaching of mathematics from a didactic approach that, in turn, favors the increase in scientific production.
