A joint analysis is made of the resolutions of the two appeals for amparo brought by the former Member of Parliament Alberto Rodríguez Rodríguez: the first against the conviction and the second against the decision of the Presidency of the Congress of Deputies to withdraw his seat as a Member of Parliament. A detailed study of the principle of criminal legality and supervening ineligibility is carried out by examining SSTC 8/2024 of 16 January and 18/2024 of 31 January.
