Los asistentes dentales: un pilar fundamental en la atención odontológica

Collaboration between dentists and dental assistants is crucial in the performance of dental functions, as it allows for an efficient working environment and therefore optimal care. In this review we seek to explore how the collaboration between the dentist and the dental assistant influences the clinical functions. For this purpose, 29 articles were reviewed by means of selection and accessibility, the inclusion criteria were focused on the clinical functions of the dental assistant. In this way the findings demonstrated that the integration of dental assistants into the dental practice allows for a better preparation and transition of students to professional practice.
