Buenos Aires: CONICET
In this photo-book, Nahuel Blázquez, Ayelén Koopmann, and Ramón Martínez explore the ruins of the former San Martín prison. Along the way, they narrate life stories from the perspective of Ramón, who was detained there for eleven years. In this way, this collaborative ethnography helps us understand punitive incarceration. But it also invites us to look at a territory crowded with unnoticed presences, to show us that "everything is immortalized in space, in time, in selective forgetfulness, and in memory".
