Le ragioni armoniche della prospettiva. Il birapporto e sue applicazioni: The Harmonic Rationale of Perspective. The Cross-Ratio and Its Applications

In these pages, I aim to present my research work, focused on the applications of the cross-ratio to perspective, resulting from my recent publication. This study should be considered a comprehensive investigation into the complex and crucial topic of the cross-ratio, which assumes considerable interest, as we shall see, for various applications to the method of perspective. This study can also be considered a useful compendium on the fundamental principles of Projective Geometry, collected in a homogeneous discourse, clear and understandable even to non-experts. We can say, without exaggeration, that in these pages art and science are linked in a single discipline, within which both the mathematician and the draftsman dialogue in a single common language. Finally, I note that this article offers only an introductory, non-exhaustive overview of the subject. The practical examples reported here are only a few, chosen from many, just enough to give a significant sample of the entire ork. Therefore, for a more in-depth analysis, I refer to my publication.
