Injusticia testimonial y traducción:: el cómic autobiográfico Gender Queer de Maia Kobabe

What is the importance of testimonial injustice in translation? how do translation decisions impact an autobiographic text whose main character is non-binary? and what epistemic effect do such translation decisions have over the author’s told experience? To answer these questions, I will analyze Alba Pagán’s translation of Maia Kobabe’s comic Gender Queer and I will consider three elements: 1) neopronouns in English, 2) the linguistic resources to talk about non-binary characters in Spanish and 3) the effect of using generic masculine in the comic translation.
