In the field of higher education, the development of communicative skills represents an essential component for the comprehensive training of students, directly influencing their academic performance and future professional development. However, various investigations have pointed out deficiencies in key language skills, such as reading comprehension, written expressionand oral communication, which limits their ability to interact in academic and work environments. This study aims to strengthen these skills by implementing innovative teaching strategies that promote the comprehensive development of language skills and their application in the professional field. The methodology included a detailed review of the literature on the strengthening of these skills, allowing us to analyze the impact of teaching strategies on improving students' language skills. Educational innovation plays a key role in this process, as it facilitates the development of communicative skills that are essential for academic and professional performance. The application of strategies focused on oral and written expression has proven to be an effective tool to optimize learning, promoting greater participation, understanding and applicability of knowledge in different contexts.
