Evolución y Tendencias del Gobierno Corporativo: Un Análisis Bibliométrico de 50 Años de Investigación

This article aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the scientific literature on Corporate Governance (CG) over the past 50 years. The study employs the PRISMA methodology, alongside tools such as MS Excel, Bibliometrix, and VosViewer, to analyze articles indexed in Scopus from 1973 to 2022. Key indicators, including citation counts, article relevance, co-citations, and institutional or national productivity, were examined. The findings reveal that, although Corporate Governance was scarcely studied during the first four decades of the review period, it has experienced a significant surge in research output in recent years, reaching its peak in 2022. This growth highlights the increasing prominence of the topic. To aid in the interpretation of the results, graphical representations of network collaborations depicting the evolution of the field are included.
