Gestión y derecho a la educación: el caso de una secundaria en una isla protegida
The family children of migrant agricultural laborers are one of the groups that suffer the greatest violation of their right to education in Mexico. The objective of the study was to analyze pedagogical management and its relationship with this right in a secondary school that serves these children in a unique island context because it is a Mexican Biosphere Reserve. Through the ethnographic case study method, the management strategies that made the educational service possible in extraordinary conditions are examined. The qualitative methodology included participant observation and interviews. The results reveal how management is built from multiple intersections: between the institutional and the community, between the pedagogical and the social, and where educational practices are adapted to the rhythms of the only community inhabiting the island.
