Impacto de la metodología STEM en el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes

This research analyzes the impact of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) methodology on the academic performance of students in fiscal contexts. Given the current educational challenges, it is urgent to implement integrative approaches that promote meaningful learning, real problem solving and the development of transversal competencies. The main objective was to analyze how the implementation of STEM influences academic achievement levels, using a qualitative, descriptive-exploratory approach, based on a documentary and bibliographic review of scientific sources from the last five years. The results show that the STEM methodology, by focusing on the active participation of the student, favors a deep understanding of the contents, stimulates intrinsic motivation and significantly improves academic performance in various areas, especially in science and mathematics. Likewise, eight innovative pedagogical strategies were identified, applicable in fiscal institutions, which enhance learning through contextualized, collaborative and creative experiences. In conclusion, STEM education not only increases academic performance, but also contributes to the integral formation of critical and committed citizens. Its implementation represents a transformative opportunity for public education systems.
