A historiografia da imigração alemã ficcionalizada no romance A ferro e fogo: o desenvolvimento econômico da Colônia de São Leopoldo

History and Literature, when approaching the past, produce narratives that transit very close to each other, mainly, genres such as the historical novel. That said, in this article we seek to understand the literary representation about the economic development of the Colony of São Leopoldo through the construction process of the narrative of the work A ferro e fogo, by Josué Guimarães. Thus, we developed a comparative study between the novel and the historiographical works used by the author to compose his narrative through analyzes built from the traces left by the novelist in the copies of historiographical works that make up his collection, the ALJOG/UPF.
