Finanzas y mujeres: una revisión de la literatura

The article focuses on analyzing the differences between men and women in financial and business decision-making. A systematic review is conducted following the PRISMA methodology. It was found that research has mainly addressed this topic through 3 categories: barriers, differences in risk and performance. Some of the results reflected that women do not have the same access to leadership positions as men. Regarding the financial behaviors of men and women, they will depend on personal attributes, culture, family situations, risk preference, the ability to make an investment, among other aspects. Finally, it is proposed that future research use qualitative methodologies that allow us to go deeper, in order to find proposals regarding the imbalances presented in emerging countries in financial matters in relation to women who assume leadership or who have the potential to assume it.
