Gestão escolar democrática na escola: todos falam a mesma língua?
This research has the following problem question: How are relationships established between managers and other school agents? Based on the problem question, our general objective is to understand the relationships established between the manager and other school agents. As for the specific objectives: Analyze the work model developed by the school manager, Understand the relationships established between the manager and other school agents and Identify traditional management practices: authoritarian and individualistic that still occur. In the empirical field, the work has the contribution of some theoretical bases, including: Alves, Barbosa (2020), Brasil (1996), Luck (2000, 2006, 2009), Paro (1999, 2005) and others. As far as the methodological aspects areconcerned, this is a qualitative study, with the support of autobiographical narrative research. We used narrative interviews with two managers and three teachers from a municipal public school in Caxias/MA as a data collection tool. The results show thatthe relationships established within the school must be one of understanding and dialog, and that individualities must be respected. With regard to decision-making, the decentralization of management with teachers and other school professionals is noteworthy, as is the direct participation of the community, which is the only way the school will achieve good results.
