Estrategias Innovadoras de Lectura: Clubes de Lectura para Fomentar el Hábito Lector en los Estudiantes
This research arises from the need to promote reading habits in students at the Huanoquite Integrated School, who face multiple barriers such as lack of access to reading materials at home, little interest in reading, and ineffective pedagogical strategies. Based on this problem, the objective was to promote reading habits in students at the Huanoquite Integrated School by implementing reading clubs as an innovative and collaborative educational strategy. A qualitative approach with quantitative elements and action-research design was used. Data collection included surveys, interviews, and reflective journals. The population included students from preschool, primary, and secondary school, while the sample corresponded to those who participated in reading clubs. The results showed a significant impact: in preschool, 70.8% of students reached a high level of reading habits, in primary, 64.3%, and in secondary, 49%. Improvements were observed in frequency, variety, and reading strategies, as well as in positive attitudes towards this activity. Regarding teacher performance, there was progress in regulating behavior and creating respectful environments, although areas such as creativity and critical reasoning showed limited progress. In conclusion, reading clubs were shown to be an effective strategy to transform reading habits and improve associated skills, involving students, teachers, and parents in a collaborative process.
