ÉTICA E INTELIGENCIA ARTIFICIAL: UN ANÁLISIS EN LA EDUCACIÓN SUPERIOR DE LA REPÚBLICA DOMINICANA

The emergence of Artificial Intelligence in the scientific field has brought significant controversy. In higher education, the use of Chat GPT as a writing assistant has raised concerns about "academic integrity." Consequently, determining the ethical use of Chat GPT by higher education students in the Dominican Republic is the purpose of this research. To achieve this, the study analyzes the importance of AI in this context and examines surveys conducted with students and teachers to identify the characteristics they observe in Chat GPT-generated texts. Through a triangulation process, these texts are contrasted with the students' work. Finally, considering the respondents' suggestions, the study discusses the benefits of integrating ethics into academic practices as a way to responsibly embrace new technologies under the leadership of "cordial reason."
