Experiencias corporales de mujeres Hip Hoppers desde el ámbito privado y público en la ciudad de Cali
The female body is potentially a space of expression, resistance, and empowerment. Through the body, women challenge gender stereotypes, build new identities, and promote social change. This article describes the results of a study aimed at understanding the cultural and political bodily experiences of the female Breakin collective “Feminal Crew” in Cali, composed of four women artists from Hip Hop culture. Founded in 2010, this group of women has worked towards gender equity and Hip Hop culture for 13 years. The research analyzes the bodily relationships of the women within their personal and group dimensions, both in private and public settings, and explores how they have articulated gender reivindication discourses and stances in their daily lives. This methodological proposal relies on ethnographic research conducted through oral, graphic, and bodily narratives that reflect the experiences of the group members.
