El fascismo brasileño y los tres líderes integralistas

The aim of the article is to analyse Brazilian fascism through the lens of the Brazilian Integralist Action (AIB) and its three mainleaders: Plínio Salgado, Gustavo Barroso, and Miguel Reale. The AIB emerged as the most successful fascist movement in Latin America, blending authoritarian nationalism, corporatism, and deep Christian symbolism.Salgado, as the «national leader,» advocated for a spiritual revolution rooted in Catholicism; Barroso advanced a radical and militant antisemitism; while Reale developed the «integral corporatism» theory aimed at transforming economic and social structures. Although they shared an authoritarian and nationalist vision, their theoretical perspectives and political strategies diverged. The article concludes that Brazilian Integralism represented a unique political project, influenced by European fascist movements, and highlights internal tensions within theAIB that persisted even after its dissolution
