Diseño de Máquina Extrusora Avanzada para Transformar el PET
This project addresses the problem of plastic waste management and recycling, specifically polyethylene terephthalate (PET), in the micro-region one of the states of Hidalgo. Its objective is to design, develop and validate an Advanced Extruder Machine capable of processing collected PET, contributing to the circular economy and reducing pollution. For this, an applied methodology was used, which included the analysis and diagnosis of the amount of PET waste, the design of the machine using SolidWorks and the implementation of tests to validate its performance. Concurrent engineering was used to speed up the development of the prototype, using three-dimensional models to optimize the design. The municipalities of Ajacuba and Tlaxcoapan will participate in the tests, allowing for adjustments according to local needs. It is expected to significantly reduce plastic waste in the region, promoting sustainable waste management practices and activating the circulating economy. In addition, collaboration with local entities and alignment with national sustainable development programs, such as PRONACES, ensures the long-term success of the project, with positive impacts such as employment generation, environmental improvement and strengthening of the recycling infrastructure in the region.
