El uso de Inteligencia Artificial en la educación

This article examines the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education, addressing mainly the ethical dilemmas and practical challenges in its implementation. The main objective is to analyze and understand how students and teachers use AI tools in academia and what implications their use has on learning and academic integrity. In order to do so, a mixed approach was employed combining a literature review with an anonymous survey applied to 189 participants. The survey included six questions about the use of AI in academic tasks, its reliability, and its impact on knowledge acquisition. The data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively to identify key trends and perceptions. The results evidence widespread use of AI in education, but also concerns about its reliability and effects on both positive and negative long-term effects on learning. Risks such as misuse, technological inequality and misinformation were identified. In the face of these challenges, the study concludes that, in addition to developing technological solutions, it is essential to foster ethical values and critical thinking in students and teachers to strengthen education and society.
