Instruments such as observation and survey were adopted and executed in five teachers. It is concluded that teaching strategies define the way to adopt an educational approach, providing clarity on how to develop goal-oriented actions. The main findings were: teaching strategies are useful to promote the teaching-learning process and as students advance from course to course, strategies that vary in complexity should be implemented.
