Disciplinar el cuerpo, capturar el deseo. Dispositivos, servidumbres y resistencia en la modernidad tardía: Disciplining the Body, Catching the Desire. Devices, Servitude, and Resistance in Late Modernity.
This article examines the relationship between body and servitude in late modernity from a critical perspective focused on the devices of desire. It proposes that the body, far from being a neutral or merely biological entity, is a field of symbolic, political, and affective inscription shaped by power structures that regulate its functioning, meaning, and productivity. Through dialogue with key authors of contemporary thought, the article explores how desire operates not only as a source of pleasure but also as a technology of subjectivation that produces forms of voluntary servitude. The analysis highlights the ambivalence of desire in contexts mediated by digital capitalism, biopolitics, and technopolitics, while also tracing possibilities for aesthetic reappropriation and affective resistance on the margins of the control regime.
