Determinação estatística da pressão máxima de operação em vasos de pressão

This paper proposes a methodology for determining the maximum operating pressure of pressure vessels through statistical analysis. Maximum operating pressure is one of the parameters used to define the inspection interval, mainly due to legal requirements. A case study containing a set of more than 80,000 operating pressure values, obtained over 10 years of operation, of a piece of equipment was analyzed using the proposed methodology, which was able to identify operational events resulting from special (non-normal) causes, validating the analysis. The results obtained showed the relevance and consistency of the proposed procedure, indicating potential gains in terms of optimizing the use of assets.
