El razonamiento lógico matemático en los estudiantes de séptimo grado de educación básica

In the development of the study, fundamental content related to the topic is exposed, such as the definition of reasoning, types of mathematical problems, reasoning schemes and the phases in the resolution process. Its objective was to analyze logical-mathematical reasoning through the diagnostic evaluation applied to seventh grade students of Basic Education, in the educational institution "Mercedes Moreno Irigoyen", for this, it is supported by the positivist paradigm with a quantitative approach, under the non-experimental transversal design since the data collection was carried out once to everyone. Precisely, the collection instruments chosen were the diagnostic evaluation for the students of the two parallel seventh grades and the interview with each tutor teacher, that information provided statistical data that were analyzed and interpreted and later the discussion of the results was formulated. It is concluded that the logical-mathematical reasoning skills of the students during the diagnostic evaluation did not reveal optimal results, therefore, they were located below a range accepted by the LOEI scale. Although teachers consider strategies and methodologies to develop their skills, there is a group that requires a space where logical mathematical reasoning content is reinforced.
