Bridging Blobs: The Transformative Communication System
In an increasingly interconnected world, language diversity can pose significant barriers to communication and understanding. "Bridging Blobs: The Transformative Communication System" introduces an innovative solution towards overcome these challenges. This thesis presents an immersive and interactive technology experience designed to seamlessly translate both spoken and sign languages and foster clear communication by visually demonstrating relationships between individuals using English and/or American Sign Language. The system integrates into various social and physical spaces, from bars to museums, creating dynamic displays that celebrate the richness of human language and culture. Interactive screens showcase animated sequences, representing inclusivity and collaboration. Powered by cutting-edge technology, "Bridging Blobs" converts spoken language and sign language into live visualizations, that demonstrate the connection between individuals while breaking down communication barriers. This project highlights the potential of immersive and interactive technologies in the realm of live data, information design, and motion graphics. The system's projection of digital blobs engaging parallel to individuals in social activities fosters a sense of connection and enables participants to express their feelings comfortably, regardless of their preferred communication modality. "Bridging Blobs" envisions a world where language diversity is celebrated, and human interactions are enriched.
