The main idea of the article is the exploration of the problem of linguistic and terminological training of students studying in the majors “Secondary Education (Physical Culture)” and “Physical Culture and Sports”. The methods and techniques that form professional terminology and professional lexicon are analyzed. The quality of students' success is studied based on the results of the final testing of the academic discipline “Professional Terminology” and the results of written examination papers at the final stage of training. The average exam score is 76 points, which corresponds to the level of “good”. The average statistical results of oral testing, written work on the thematic cards, and writing a summary (structure, content, terminology) were determined. Thus, the process of forming professional terminology requires increased attention from teachers and the search for more effective teaching methods and techniques.
