The Variations in Use of Force by Police with Mentally Ill Citizens

The objective of the current study was to identify these variations in the use of force by police officers according to the contributing factors of the situations. By highlighting the situational factors, especially the behavior of the mentally ill citizen, the methods followed in the study were able to analyze the causes of the responses by police officers.
