Study on the Impact of Digital Economy on the Low Carbon Total Factor Productivity of Marine Fisheries in China
The digital economy has flourished, providing new momentum for the high-quality development of marine fisheries. Based on the panel data of China's 9 coastal provinces in 2014—2020, the low-carbon total-factor productivity of marine fisheries was measured in this paper, where fixed effect model and moderating effect model were used to deeply explore the impact mechanism of digital economy on marine fisheries LCTFP and the moderating effect of government intervention. The measurement result finds that LCTFP of marine fisheries in China was subject to wavelike rise during the sample period, and shows a development trend of "high in south, low in north". The regression result finds that the digital economy can improve LCTFP of marine fisheries significantly, and the promotion effect of digital economy increases with the increase of marine fisheries LCTFP. Technological progress is the main way for digital economy to improve LCTFP of marine fisheries, and the contribution of technical efficiency is little. Further analysis, government intervention has a positive moderating effect on digital economy to improve marine fishery LCTFP.
