Türkiye Yüzyılı Maarif Modeli’nin Değerler Eğitimi Yaklaşımı

The aim of the study is to examine the values education approach of the Türkiye Century Maarif Model, in this context, how it structures the student profile it targets, the contribution of key concepts to the student profile, the umbrella values and components in the Virtue-Value-Action Framework, and the core values in the 2005-2018 curricula have been comprehensively analysed. The research was conducted using the document analysis technique within the scope of qualitative research methods. The data sources consist of the 2005-2018 and 2024 curricula. The data obtained were analysed using descriptive analysis methods. The research findings reveal that the Türkiye Century Maarif Model offers a new approach to values education and that the components surrounding this approach are systematically structured. Placing humans at its centre, the Türkiye Century Maarif Model defines its starting point through the student profile and explains which fundamental values this profile should possess at the end of the process. The Türkiye Century Maarif Model models values education with a process-based structure and aims to develop students' individual potential. As a result of the research, it can be stated that the Türkiye Century Maarif Model approaches education with a holistic perspective, offers a new paradigm, and aims to build peaceful individuals, peaceful families and societies, and a liveable environment as its ultimate goal. Additionally, it is recommended that the Türkiye Century Maarif Model be developed through continuous feedback from teachers, subject matter experts, and other relevant stakeholders to increase its effectiveness. The research is important because it addresses the implementation and evaluation dimensions of the Turkey Century Education Model and can serve as a guide for educational institutions.
