Session 3: <em>The Many Faces of Data Science in Healthcare</em>

Data science applications within the healthcare system abound but are not evident to most patients in the doctor’s office. In this discussion, we aim to spark curiosity about the behind-the-scenes uses of data within the medical field. We will focus on presenting how data supports improving the healthcare quality, its various applications in clinical research, and how electronic health records use metrics have been leveraged to study clinician workflows and efficiency.
