MOTIVATION OF YOUTH WHEN CHOOSING SOCIONOMIC PROFESSIONS
our society. In the current conditions of important and significant changes in the political, economic, socio-cultural spheres, as well as in the sphere of innovations and information technologies of the country, especially taking into account the state of war, there is an increased need for qualified psychological assistance to the population. Given the insufficient number of specialists in the field of socionomic professions, the study of the motivation of young people when choosing a future qualification is an extremely relevant topic. The modern conditions of development and vital activities of our society require fundamental changes in the traditional system of professional development in the direction of optimal professional self-determination of the individual, taking into account the internal mechanisms of his self-development. Choosing a profession is one of the most important strategic decisions in a person's life, which is a complex problem. Purpose. To carry out a theoretical analysis and conduct an empirical study on the motivation of young people when choosing socionomic professions. Methods. The research was conducted on the basis of the State University of Trade and Economics. The sample was consisted of 40 students of the 2nd year of the Faculty of Economics, Management and Psychology. The purpose of identifying the predominant style of motivation - motivation to achieve success or motivation to avoid failure - was the basis of the study of the peculiarities of the motivation of modern youth in socionomic professions. Two methods were used as a basis: Diagnosis of personality on the motivation for the success by T. Ehlers. This technique consists of 41 statements to which you must answer "yes" or "no". According to the key, points are calculated and the obtained result is analyzed within 4 scales (1-10 points - low motivation; 11-16 - average motivation; 17-20 - moderately high motivation and over 21 - too high motivation). Diagnosis of personality motivation to avoid failure by T. Ehlers. This technique contains a list of 30 words, three words in each line. In each row, you need to choose one that accurately characterizes you as a research subject. According to the key, points are calculated and the obtained result is analyzed within 4 scales (1-10 points - low motivation; 11-16 - average motivation; 17-20 - moderately high motivation and over 21 - too high motivation). Originality. The practical significance of this article lies in the possibility of using the obtained data in the further study of the specified topic. Conclusion. As a result of the research conducted in the presented article, it can be concluded that modern psychology students of the 2nd year of study at SUTE are most characterized by a moderately high motivation for success. But at the same time, the motivation to avoid failure is equally expressed among the sample at 3 levels (average, moderately high and too high). In general, the research has shown that people with a moderately high level of the motivation for the success prefer a medium level of risk. Those who are afraid of failure prefer a small or, on the contrary, too large a level of risk. The higher a person's motivation for success - the achievement of a goal, the lower the willingness to take risks. At the same time, motivation for success also affects hope for success: with strong motivation for success, hopes for success are usually more modest than with weak motivation for success.
