Démesures tyranniques et confiscation du pouvoir contestées: une lecture de Dans les coulisses de l’Afrique de Nguemadjira Mirangaye
Tyrannical governance is decried by many African writers because it results in the confiscation of power. These writers create protest figures for insurgency and social awareness. A study of the behavior of President Maylor and his official opponent Diong reveals that these are tyrannical events. Colonel Maylor, president of the Neverland Called La patrie is featured in Nguemadjira Mirangaye’s Dans les coulisses de l’Afrique as a power-hungry tyrant who rigs elections, murders opponents and abuses constituents. The author reveals the unconscious of a people who are undergoing psychic trauma and are fighting for democratic change and liberation against bad governance. How does Nguemadjira Mirangaye structure the traumatic state of the victim characters and set up the challenge of tyrannical power in his work? It is opportune to know why the tyrannical management of power always ends in revolt. The result of this analysis is that between the leaders and the people there is an opposition and a protest linked to the tyrannical management of the country. Sociocritic of Edmond Cross and Literary psychoanalysis will allow us to study this mechanism. The complex of superiority and frustration makes the president more crooked and political and civil society leaders more dominated by survival instinct. The longevity of a ruling head of state never seems to make his people happy.
