Cognitive Behavioral Couples Counseling as an Intervention to Improve Marital Satisfaction Among Post-Deployment Military Couples
Post-traumatic Stress Disorder is considered the primary reason for post-deployment divorces in the United States military (Lares & Lehenbauer, 2019). This study aims to assess cognitive behavioral couples therapy use to improve marital satisfaction among post-deployment military couples. To accomplish this, active-duty military couples will be given the couples satisfaction index, enrolled in either cognitive behavioral couples therapy or solution-focused brief couples' therapy for 12 weeks, and then given the assessment again to analyze the means of each group.
