Ancient material culture in the classroom. A case of Teaching Innovation through 3D photogrammetry
This research presents the use of a repertoire of real or small-scale reproductions of archaeological materials through photogrammetry and 3D printing. This initiative aims to modernize traditional teaching practices by incorporating replicas of original objects, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and improving students' digital skills. The project "The Past in 3D: Historical Documents, Archaeology, Art and Iconography", supported by the Autonomous University of Madrid, used a variety of technological resources to produce high quality 3D printed teaching materials. These materials were successfully integrated into hands-on activities within the History curriculum, engaging students in immersive historical recreations and enhancing their understanding and interest in Archaeology, Art and History
