Key aspects of the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine based on sustainable development

The concept of sustainable development is always based on three dimensions: environmental sustainability; social sustainability; and economic sustainability. The full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine led to the aggravation of the socio-economic crisis of the last decades, manifestations of newchallenges to all components of sustainable development, which actualized the need to transform society according to a new civilizational model. The basis of supporting and reforming the national economy, environment and society to effectively respond to the situation in Ukraine should be the implementation of the principles of sustainable development to ensure inclusive growth.Since the beginning of the war, our state has suffered significant losses - destruction of residential and non-residential stock, logistics infrastructure, damage to agricultural land, problems in the social sphere, negative business trends. The restoration of Ukraine appears to be a rather large-scale process, the priority areas of which are the restoration of important infrastructure and long-term reconstruction and modernization. Sustainable development should become one of the key principles in the recovery of Ukraine. This article presents a strategy based on the Smart Recovery Architecture, which should be the first step towards comprehensive modernization of the country, provided that an effective recovery architecture is developed for the long term and the involvement of as many process participants and resourcesas possible. The architecture of smart recovery includes the following components: recovery of the economy taking into account basic conditions, activators, and transformation of priority industries; restorationof infrastructure based on an assessment of the current state of needs; social recovery, which involvesboth personal development and ensuring quality of life; restoration of the ecological environment. When choosing the path and key tools for the implementation of the process of sustainable postwar recovery of Ukraine, it is worth remembering that there is a general assumption that each recovery process is unique, since the post-war situation is different and depends on such aspects as: the causesof the conflict and its method solution; complete or partial cessation of hostilities throughout the country; initial economic conditions and level of development of the country; degree of international political support; donors' interest in the country.
