GLOBAL DIGITALIZATION AS A FACTOR OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF INTER-INDUSTRY CONNECTIONS OF MANUFACTURING ENTERPRISES: QUESTIONS OF METHODOLOGY
The article examines the essence of the processes of global digitalization and its impact on the development of industrial integration. It is noted that these processes have significant advantages in the development of inter-branch relations, but at the same time they face a number of complex problems that can affect the development of inter-branch relations of manufacturing enterprises. These problems can relate to both technical aspects and organizational and social challenges. The main factors are identified and summarized. It is well-founded that cyber security, data privacy, technical challenges, organizational and cultural challenges, as well as economic implications are the main issues that need attention and solutions. It is justified that solving these problems is critically important for ensuring effective and stable cooperation between enterprises and for maximizing the benefits of digitization in the conditions of the modern global market. It is noted that neoclassical economic theory plays an important role in understanding the causes and consequences of integration in the economy. Integration in an economic context usually refers to the process of bringing countries or regions closer together through economic interaction, which may include trade integration, economic unions, and other forms of cooperation. For a detailed consideration of the causes and consequences of integration in the economy, the main works of neoclassical economists are considered. Neoclassical theory emphasizes that while integration brings common benefits, it can also lead to an uneven distribution of these benefits. Countries or regions with different levels of development may have different levels of benefits from integration. For example, smaller and less developed countries may not benefit to the same extent as their more developed counterparts. Integration can lead to structural changes in the economy, such as the closure of unprofitable enterprises and reorientation to new industries. It is considered in detail how global digitalization affects the development of inter-industry relations. Mechanisms involved in global digitalization and how they affect the development of inter-industry relations are defined and characterized.
