TEKNOLOJİK GELİŞMELERİN ULUSLARARASI LOJİSTİK ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİLERİNİN İNCELENMESİ

The logistics sector is undergoing a major transformation process, driven by technological developments on a global scale. In particular, digitalisation and automation-oriented innovations that have emerged with the Fourth Industrial Revolution have radically changed logistics processes and created significant opportunities for the sector. The main objective of this study is to make an original contribution to the existing literature by analysing the impact of technological developments on international logistics from a holistic perspective. In the study, a theoretical framework has been developed using the literature review method and the relevant literature has been analysed in detail. According to the results of the study, it is found that the integration of traditional logistics technologies such as automatic identification systems, barcode applications, RFID, EDI, AS/RS, GPS and GIS with Industry 4.0 technologies provides visibility, speed, flexibility, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction and competitive advantage in logistics activities. The study also highlights the need to address issues such as high investment costs, employee resistance and lack of skilled human resources. In this respect, the study aims to guide both the academic environment and practitioners in the sector by presenting a holistic evaluation that is lacking in the literatür.
