Spiritual Self-determination in the Existential Religious Philosophy

The article exposes existential reasons that encourage contemporary people to spiritual self-determination. The main stages of the process of spiritual self-determination and its characteristics in correlation with the characteristics of comprehension of transcendence are identified. Also external and internal factors affecting the choice of a particular type of spirituality within the framework of religious or non-religious spirituality were outlined. And, the main result of spiritual self-determination - the formation of spiritual identity is marked out. Key words: spirituality, spiritual self-determination, transcendence, spiritual identification
